Last time we left car #3, Bo and Jörgen had started dismantling the car. Now when we say that the car has to be stripped, it’s not just a matter of removing the seats and carpets, etc. This car is being stripped.
Everything is coming off or out of the car, although not always easily. Here’s a note from Bo:
Tonight (Tuesday) Jörgen and I shall be doing the last dismantling of the 99 GL – I had a problem with the conical pin in the joint of the shift, which just did not want to come loose, although I had induced it to do so both by applying the hex nut on top and beating on it from under the car with a mandrel and hammer! Will try again to extract it by adding some washers under the hex nut! This seems not to be a hardy disc joint, but the better kind of universal joint. We will save that for the rally car!
Here’s some video of the work done in other areas, to show you just how detailed (and tedious) the work can be.
Smile, guys! It’ll all be worth it in the end…..

Wow. I’ve been there and done that with my current C900. Guys, that body is looking WAY better than car #1. Way better.
Keep it up!
