It’s our great pleasure to welcome the Swedish Saab tuners, MapTun, to the SU Historic Rally Team as our performance partner.

MapTun are based in Stig Blomqvist’s home town, Örebro. We were in town to pick up Car #3 and we called in on them to say hello.

MapTun has developed from a small company specializing in Saab software development, to a full service establishment with car tuning as their main business. Dramatic growth in recent years allowed them to invest heavily in a modern workshop, state of the art technical equipment and their best asset – experienced and qualified staff.

In addition to market leading software, maptun also offer a range of workshop services: advanced engine builds, gear boxes and a wide array of tuning parts for a number of car makes and models.

The last two years have seen a lot of development time put into upgrades of Saabs revolutionary BioPower models, as well as aftermarket conversions of newer Saabs to run on ethanol. With the know-how they possess within ethanol tuning, they don’t mind referring to themselves as “the ethanol specialists”

MapTun have recently launched their new MapTuner, which is an easier way to give your car a dose of serious Saab Tuning.

Tuning your car using the MapTuner is simple – You just connect the MapTuner module to the diagnostic connector in your car and with a simple keystroke, the MapTuner unit transmits the selected program to your car’s ECU. You can also restore your car to it’s original tuning just as easily.

Thanks for jumping on board, MapTun!!!
