It’s the weekend and whilst for many people that would mean a goodly dose of leisure, it means no such thing if you’re trying to build a rally car from scratch!
We picked up Car #3 during the week from Örebro and today it went into the garage to be pulled to bits. This car is a Saab 99GL, a non-turbo vehicle, but it’ll come out as a black Saab 99 Turbo when Jörgen and Bo are finished with it.
The following are a few videos showing the before and almost-after of the tear down. When it’s done, the body will be treated prior to painting and having it’s roll cage fitted.
